How could she do this to me?
No no... I can't blame her...
It's my fault..
I'm such an idiot!

Those were the only thoughts that occurred to me for the past week.
I couldn't stop thinking about my....about Alice.
I tried to put on a straight face and pretend like nothing was wrong, but I felt as if everyone knew what had happened and what a loser I was...

"Aaron! Aaron!" I heard Nicha call me from afar. I turned around to look at her. She had her usual smile and was accompanied by Nikko. I stopped in my tracks and waited for them to catch up.

"Ah, what's up?" I asked as they approached me. We walked together back to the hotel.

"Hn, nothing really, you just kinda looked lonely." Nikko said. Nicha got something out of her bag and handed it to me.

"What's this?" I asked shaking the small box.

"Don't shake it! Open it." She said. The both of them stared at me as I opened the box to see its contents.

"Whoa! It's cake!" They smiled at my excited reaction. It had been a while since I had any sweets without poison. Really...Lina can be too hard sometimes. I've become afraid of food.

"Yep! We couldn't finish it so Nicha thought you could have it."  Nikko said.

"Hmmm...there's no poison in this right?" I asked eyeing the cake.

"You won't know unless you eat it!" They teased.

I was a little worried, but I really wanted to eat it. "Thanks!" I told them.

"Maybe you can share it with Alice!" Nikko said giving me a little push. My happy mood went down the drain immediately. My smile quickly switched to a depressing frown just at the thought of sharing a simple cake with her.

"Aaron?" The girls both looked at each other, and then back at me. They already sensed it.

"U-uh nothing. Alice doesn't really like sweets, so I don't think she'd want it. It's a nice thought though. Thanks again!" I headed off in another direction away from them. They called out to me but I chose not to respond.
They probably knew that Alice actually did like cake.

I felt like I could cry, but would that be bad?

I got to the hotel using a different route that would steer me free from Nicha and Nikko whom I had just ditched without a word.
They must've thought I was some rude fuck.

When I got to the lobby, Finnigan noticed me.
"Hey, Finni..." I wasn't even trying to sound happy at this point.

"You certainly don't sound like you're glad to see me." He looked down over me and studied my gloomy look. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"It's nothing. I'm just being an idiot." I said as I headed towards the elevators.

"That's not it." He said. "But if you don't wanna tell me I'll find out anyway." He smirked and let me be. I groaned out loud. I went inside the elevator and pressed the button that went to my floor.

"He and Nikko must be soooooo happy...." I said to myself. Great, now I'm jealous of other people's relationships.

"Jiiiin, I want to diieeeeee." I graoned at him. I was surprised that he had been taking my whining very well ever since I came back to the hotel with my ugly crying face. I was relieved he was the only one there. But I kinda wished I could've erased his memory. My crying face could scar people...

"That is about the hundredth time you tell me this, Aaron. Yet you never tell me why..." Jin was online checking some documents and looking over files while I was sitting at a corner banging my head on a wall.

"I have no motivation in life..."

"Okay, either you tell me what's wrong, or I go get Lina to beat it out of you." Jin closed his laptop and put all his attention on me.

I jumped out of my corner and grabbed Jin's collar. "NONONONONONONONONONNO.... Anything but her! Please!"

"She scares you that much?" He asked.

"It's a little more than that actually..." I said scratching behind my head.

"Is it about Alice?" He asked. "Did she dump you?"

I frowned. "I never even had that chance..."

"So you're heart broken?" He asked. I nodded. He sighed.

"That's rough, buddy." He sighed, lost in his own thoughts as well. "Falling in love is really difficult..."

I took out the small box of cake and began stuffing my face.
"I thought only girl's ate their feelings away...." Jin said. I ignored him and yelled out, "I NEED A HUG, JIN-TAN!"
Jin laughed at my imitation of Len.

"I'm being serious..." I said. Jin stopped laughing and just stared at me.

"Yes, ma'am I'd like to apply for the CXS program!" I yelled out to the desk lady.

"Do you have previous knowledge of this program, sir?" She asked me.

I grinned back at her, "Of course! I've been waiting my whole life for this!" She handed me my papers and pointed towards some empty seats. I sat down and carefully filled them out.

"Ey, do you mind if I sit here?" A male voice said. I looked up to find a pale faced boy wearing clothes almost in the same style as my own.
"Not a problem, bro." I said as I scooted over. He sat down and filled out his own papers.

"You joining CXS?" He asked.

"Yep, you?"

"Yuss, my parents are forcing me to apply. They say I have potential."

"How much do you know about CXS?" I asked him.

"Whoa, I saw you yelling over at the desk lady and being all cheery, but this serious side of you is kind of hot. Me likie." He grinned. "But anyway, I mostly know that CXS are treated like royalty because people think that CXS students are super smart, kinda like mini Einsteins walking around. But in reality, it has nothing to do with how smart you are. If we make it in, we'll be on our way to being part of the most strongest branch in the world's defense."  

"Eh, so that's it. That's pretty cool! What's your ability!?" I asked him in my new obnoxious voice.

"You change character easily, huh?" He smiled. "I have a sort of life-type ability. It's not medical, it's a little different than that. Have you heard of tentacle porn?" He smirked as he asked the question.

I snorted, "That hentai stuff is weird, but yeah I know of it, why? Do you sprout tentacles and rape people? That's kinda creepy!"

"No, no, no! It's not like that!" He blushed a little and laughed. "I can create plant life. So like I can make a vein pop out right here on the ground and it'll do whatever I want it to do. So it's kind of like have tentacles, but I don't rape people, trust me."

"Ah well we all have different fetishes...." I grinned. He blushed more.

"Stop that!" He punched my arm lightly and then went back to filling out his forms. After he was done we traded cell phone numbers and he even asked if we could dorm mates and lunch buddies. Out of my own kindness, I said yes to the playful stranger. Apparently he had another group of friends he belonged to and kindly introduced me to them.
When that was all done I walked back to the desk lady to turn in my forms, it was then that I had bumped into another stranger.
At the impact she spilled all her forms on the floor and tried to pick them up quickly.

Her face was cute, and her personality was adorable.

"Hey there cute thing." I said.

"U-um, excuse me." She grabbed all her papers and quickly got away from me.

Maybe moving on won't be so bad.

I chose this as a filler cuz it's not too important. Yet it kinda is. This is pretty much how Aaron is doing and how his registration went.
